In Bullenheim you will find the largest vineyard area in Middle Franconia. Half-timbered houses adorn the pretty wine-growing village between the colorful vineyards of the “Bullenheimer Paradies”. In this idyllic setting, a visit to the numerous winegrowers' rooms and inns is almost a must.

In the district of this wine-growing village extends the largest vineyards in Central Franconia. The location is called "Bullenheimer Paradies" - cradle and namesake of the "Wine Paradise Franconia".

The imposing gem of the square is the town hall built in 1583 with its magnificent half-timbered floor. Two coat of arms reliefs remind that Bullenheim was once in the possession of the Lords of Schwarzenberg. The grave epitaph of Paul von Schwarzenberg in the church of St. Leonhard also announces their power.

Protected by late medieval defensive walls with historic Kirchengaden, the Simultanenkirche forms the centerpiece of an extraordinary architectural monument ensemble.

Numerous hedge farms, wine taverns and inns invite hikers to linger. Cheerful sociability with wine and Franconian delicacies await every guest.

The largest vineyard area of Middle Franconia extends in the district of this wine-growing town. The location is called "Bullenheimer Paradies" - the cradle and namesake of the "Weinparadies Franken".
The ruins of the Kunigunden chapel on Bullenheimer Berg are visible from afar. This late Gothic building is a stone testimony to a legend that Empress Kunigunde and her entourage got lost here in the forest about 1000 years ago. The ringing of bells from the valley gave them back their bearings. The pious woman had a chapel built in gratitude for the rescue.
Nearby, the observation tower from “Oberding” 456 m above sea level overlooks the Kunigunden Forest. From there, the view sweeps far across the mixed forest into the open valley. The Bullenheimer Berg had its first big bloom in the Celtic period.
