The single trail can basically be cycled in both directions - from east to west it is definitely a little more comfortable than in the opposite direction.
The ground changes from loose scree to forest floor interspersed with many roots and small terrain steps. From the Jägerhöhe (in the direction of the Hauereckschutzhütte) and beyond the 'Red Cross', the trail becomes a little more flowy. Forest soil, roots, scree and occasional short rocky passages alternate again and again and even small terrain steps make the mountain biker's heart beat faster. Overall, I would rate it at S1+.
Conclusion: a really cool single trail that is really fun.
