Rachierhof means 'cultivation farm', derived from the Old French 'rachier', which means 'to harvest.
The farm is already mentioned in 1401 as the property of the Cistercian women - abbey of Valduc (Hamme - Mille)
The house dates from 1753, the barn from 1832.
The small building to the east is an oven.

On the edge of the Mollendaalbos is a very old farm, the Rachierhof. The first records of this farm date back to 1401, when it was owned by the Abbey of Valduc (Hamme-Mille). For a long time, the Rachierhof consisted of mud buildings with brick substructure. A new whitewashed house was built in 1753, the barn is 80 years younger (1832). Despite some newer buildings, the farm's floor plan has remained unchanged for 250 years. The leasehold was part of the property of the Dukes of Arenberg until 1918.
