The Werra bridge at Wacha was for a while rather the symbol of disunity. Because it is almost directly on the former inner German border and was closed until the opening of the border in 1989. The Werach bridge Vacha is a 225 m long stone arch bridge from the Middle Ages, which connects the Thuringian Vacha with the Hessian Philippsthal.
