Centuries ago, one of the two mills of the Ten Duinen Abbey stood, today the South Abbey Mill stands. The current Koksijde South Abbey mill dates from 1773 and was originally located in Houtem near Veurne (Lootvoet mill). There it was demolished in 1951-1952 and rebuilt in Koksijde in 1953.

Until today, miller Patrick Geryl is the only remaining full-time miller in Belgium. Anyone who visits the mill will be happy to show you around in his habitat: the South Abbey Mill. Feel the wind play with the mill, see how the grain is ground into flour and smell the history.
