The location of the mill near the confluence of Hirschbach and Idarbach is described in the original cadastre. On April 20, 1855, Jakob Verbeck sold the grinding mill with barn, stables, garden, the Hofbering located next to it, bounded by Florian Back and the community forest, with everything that belongs to the mill, including the furnace inside, to the Partner in the milling company.
The Reizenmühle remained in operation as a cooperative mill until the 1960s. In the account books of the mill manufacturer Vankorb there are still many entries about maintenance and repair work. Today the mill is privately owned. (Text from notice board)
