The Mummelsee is a beautiful cirque lake directly on the Hornisgrinde, the highest mountain in the northern Black Forest. It is one of the most visited lakes in Baden-Württemberg. If you like it quiet, a visit during the week is advisable. At the Mummelsee there is a hotel, gastronomic offer and a pedal boat rental. The tour is now barrier-free.

Beautiful view but attention !: It is here in fine weather very crowded with cars and motorcycles. The restaurant is hopelessly crowded in good weather and therefore not recommended. The Mummelsee itself invites you to circle it once. It takes about 30 minutes on foot. In the shop next door you can buy freshly baked bread, homemade lard (with pieces) and Black Forest ham. There are also many other knickknacks as souvenirs for those who stayed at home.
