In 1254, Count Ulrich von Münzenberg enfeoffed his Vogt Rudolf in Dieburg and his wife with the mill in Münster. In return for an annual donation to the cathedral chapter in Frankfurt for the salvation of Ulrich's deceased parents. The mill still exists today under the name Langsmühle, named after a previous owner. The owners and tenants changed again and again over the centuries. And with them also the names for the mill. This was also known as the "Deutschherren-Mühle" or "Deutsch-Ordensmühle". A look at the register of names of the owners shows that in the 14th century the Teutonic Order in Frankfurt-Sachsenhausen was the owner, and in 1816 - Napoleon sends his regards - a Frenchman named Perrau.
The current buildings of the mill date from the 18th and 19th centuries. About a hundred years ago, the mill operator at the time no longer relied on the water power of the Gersprenz to turn the mill wheel, but switched to turbines and electricity generation. In 1968 the mill was stopped. In 1988 the building was renovated in almost ten years of painstaking work according to the old model.
