A great vantage point has been created directly at the operations building of the new Kattwyk Bridge, offering a full overview of the Altenwerder container terminal up to the Köhlbrandt Bridge. There you don't bother other cyclists and pedestrians moving on the bridge.

The small square in front of the barrier to the new Kattwyk Bridge offers a great panorama over the HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA).
CTA went into operation in June 2002 and was the most automated container terminal in the world until around 2015. The combination of fully automatic storage blocks, Automated Guided Viehecles (AGV) and semi-automatic container cranes was unique until then.
