If you want, you can park your bike here and walk the narrow path with great views. The route by bike is absolutely not recommended and even the "brave" shouldn't even try, not even with the MTB, because the risk of falling is simply too great. If you make the slightest mistake, you can fall down the steep slope and seriously injure yourself.
Better to just explore the path on foot. The photos speak for themselves. I don't want to have to read here that someone crashed and injured himself there. The path is not completely passable either, at the interglacial peat camp you have to get off and carry your bike a few steps down and up again.

Addendum 4/24/21:
In retrospect I regretted having discontinued the route here as a highlight because it is far too dangerous, but it is here and hopefully my warning will be taken seriously. In any case, I will no longer ride it in the future, I'll just walk without my bike. It is also too narrow to be pushed by bike. So, leave your bike behind, even if it's difficult, or drive straight up the Elbkamp along the Elbkamp.

The Oberstleutnantweg runs below the picturesque houses on the slope on the Elbkamp and above the Elbuferweg. The path was named after Georg Brinkmann (1840 Isenbüttel near Hanover - 1924 Lauenburg). He came from an old officer family and retired in 1891 as a lieutenant colonel. He rode this way every morning. In clear places in the deciduous forest you have wonderful views of the Elbe. The Oberstleutnantweg had not been passable for a long time due to fallen trees - but now it is free again.
