"The station in Bad Neuenahr, built entirely of local rubble stone, is a building whose foundation stone was laid on November 4, 1879, in order to open the Ahr Valley line from Remagen to Ahrweiler one year later. A smaller extension was also added to the west, and the original entrance was relocated from the old building, located to the west, to the central extension. From this point on, visitors are presented with a facade divided into ten axes on the railway side. The centrally located, neo-Gothic station hall is particularly striking.

The oldest building complex bears the admonition "Always cheerful, God helps on," while the extension bears the words "Cheerful courage, healthy blood."

In addition to the three-part station building, there is a large half-timbered shed to the east and a modern signal box next to the railway tracks. A public restroom, also built from local quarry stone, was located west of the station building until 2005. After the building was demolished in 2005, the new building can now be found 30 meters west of the station building.

Cultural Monument
The property "Station, quarry stone building, Neo-Renaissance, 1878-81, extension 1920s, half-timbered loading hall, Hauptstraße 58/58a" is a registered cultural monument (Monument Register for the Ahrweiler District 2018, p. 15f).
