The Needsche Berg was created during the penultimate ice age, about 150,000 years ago. It is a so-called moraine, formed by glaciers that pushed earth and stones in front of them, creating a ridge. With a height of approximately 49 meters above NAP (Normal Amsterdam Level), the Needsche Berg is the highest point in the immediate vicinity.

The hill offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and is a popular spot for walkers and nature lovers. At the top of the Needse Berg there is a watchtower called "Watchtower Neede". From the tower you have a panoramic view of the green fields, forests and farms in the area.

In addition to the natural beauty, the Needsche Berg is also historically interesting. Archaeological finds have been made on the hill, including traces of prehistoric habitation and Bronze Age burial mounds. These finds testify to the long history of human presence in this place.
