The Ritterkapelle is the landmark of the city of Haßfurt, a three-nave late Gothic hall church (completed in 1455, beautifully restored). Formerly Marian pilgrimage. Reason for the naming "Knight's Chapel" were probably the 276 escutcheons of the (predominantly) Franconian nobility on the outside of the choir and the network vaults. The renovation has reopened the original Gothic frescoes in the entrance area. The neo-Gothic reconstruction started in the 19th century was only partially completed. The church lies outside the old city walls in the eastern suburbs and is surrounded by the cemetery. The chapel is the oldest pilgrimage church in the diocese of Würzburg.

The chapel can be visited at any time during normal opening times.
Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The opening times are the same in summer and winter.
