    The Mühlbach was of central importance for Offenburg both economically and culturally. Its water power drove factories and at the same time provided a space for leisure and inspiration. To make this history come alive, the Mühlbach educational trail with 21 panels informs about the importance of the stream and reminds of the close connection to the people and events of the city's history. The project was financed by the Alt Offenburg Foundation, based on the city's extensive archives.

      The Mühlbach has always kept the people of Offenburg busy in two ways: on the one hand, quite literally, it was a prerequisite for the existence of factories.
