Pirk Dam

The Pirk Dam is located in the Vogtland near the town of Taltitz near Oelsnitz. The A72 Hof motorway towards Chemnitz runs directly past the dam. Construction work on the dam began in 1935, but its dam wall was not built until two years later. The facility also includes a fore-dam and two fore-basins.
