Great three-thousander. The summit is right on the edge of the Venosta Valley, which lies far below, and offers a wonderful view in and over it. The peaks of the Martell Valley also spread out to the south and to the west you can see the Vertainspitze and over the Taitschroi in the Upper Vinschgau to the Malser Heide.

The ascent, while steep, requires no scrambling anywhere. Anyone who is reasonably able to cope with steep mountain paths should have no trouble with this mountain tour. Nevertheless, you move in high alpine terrain, decent equipment and appropriate caution, especially in the summit area, is of course advisable.
