    The narrow ridge path here is really fun. There are always beautiful views of the surrounding area and shade on the unpaved path - what more could you want.

      When I walked this ridge path for the first time in 2013/14, I was almost thrilled by the beautiful, tall, dense beech forest.
      In the meantime this forest is reminiscent of a theater of war in nature in some places; want to say how bombed are the tree ruins and the stumps on the slope.
      Thinned out of the forest, the remaining beech trees, abandoned by the group of trees, which still defy the adversities, stand here and there with badly torn, sun-torn bark under sad residual crowns.
      The beech will probably leave its traditional place in our regions and have to settle further north.
      In ten years we will be walking through birch coppices here, if we should be allowed to.
      The rampant ilex only comforts the eyes a little, some gnarled beech roots are still reminiscent of the old splendor.
