Eulenbis is located about 13 kilometers northwest of Kaiserslautern in the North Palatinate Uplands within its sub-area Obere Lauterhöhen. Eulenbis is the highest local parish within the community of Weilerbach. The hamlets Mückenmühle and Untere Pfeifermühle also belong to the community. In 1815 the municipality first belonged to Austria. After the Congress of Vienna, it was added to Bavaria a year later. In 1817 the community moved to the canton of Kaiserslautern. From 1818 to 1862 Eulenbis was part of the Land Commissioner in Kaiserslautern, which was then converted into a district office.

From 1939 he was part of the Kaiserslautern district. After the Second World War, Eulenbis became part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate within the French occupation zone. In the course of the first administrative reform in Rhineland-Palatinate, the place became part of the newly formed community of Weilerbach in 1972.
