        Unlike the second, this slag heap (the first from the large car park and shopping boulevard) is not a nature reserve, but is fully committed to recreation. There are various target groups: mountain bikers, hikers, children/young people/schools/youth clubs and walking families. The route ("bike park") for MTB'ers is in most places not accessible to walkers and includes a network of narrow steep paths, a practice area near the top to learn various 'tricks' and a fairly large number of facilities below (including a 'bike wash'). All others who walk up the slag heap, even if it's just to play a little on the parts between the posts (eg slides), can go up via paths and stairs (and they can be mixed according to your choice). For walkers there are informative signs, lookout points with benches, the adventure mountain's play area, a round spacious "seating pit" at the top with indications of wind directions and what you see in the distance and smaller facilities. Various smaller shrubs have also been planted, such as recently rose bushes to make the whole more attractive. As a hiker, be careful not to get on the MTB trails. Those who really want to walk in nature should go to the other slag heap. This is usually also busier and on some days also sometimes very busy when MTBers, families with children, hikers and day tourists plan a day at be-MINE and it sometimes becomes more difficult to keep MTBers and others separate.
