    In the idyllic valley between Solingen and Haan lies the "Heidberger Mühle" in the middle of the Ittertal. It is mentioned for the first time in 1683 in the Solinger book and has had a lot of experiences until the 21st century.
    The village Heidberg, with affiliation to the municipality Haan, is located only about 50 meters from the Solingen city limits. The history of the village is so closely connected with the Kratz family for more than 200 years that the term "Kratzheidberg" appears when researched. The actual grinding or oil mill (builder unknown) was a half-timbered building, which was already in operation before the Thirty Years' War (1618-48)
    Since the 01.06.1980 the "Heidberger mill" is after two survived world wars and many alterations, extensions and constant renovation work in the possession of the family Bernd and Ulla Ulrich. It still shows itself in the best light and is the most popular restaurant for hikers who explore the Ittertal and thus also the history.
