Saint Fontaine was a seigneury belonging to the feudal court of Liège. She had like Pailhe, her court of justice. In 1345, this stronghold belonged to Wathy de Cent-Fontaine who, on that date, sold it to Olivier d'Ohey. His descendants kept the estate until the beginning of the 18th century. It then passed to the Haultepenne family, then to Baron de Eynatten, Lord of Abée. In the second half of the 18th century, two-thirds of the property fell to the Baroness of Masbourg then to the Count of Lannoy. Another third became the possession of Count Horion, Grand Provost of the Cathedral of Liège. Cubic in shape, the castle, surrounded by a magnificent park, dominates the Ossogne valley. Count Emile de Liedekerke built it temporarily around 1820 on the site of a castle that had burned down. It was inherited by the Cornet family from Elzius. The facade overlooking the main courtyard was refurbished around 1900. The castle is crowned with a terracotta balustrade running on all sides
