The small Hanseatic city has a picturesque historic city center, whose visit is definitely worthwhile. In the historic city center you are guaranteed to find a nice place to stay or a cozy restaurant or cafe to fortify you.

Kyritz is widely known as "Kyritz an der Knatter", which may surprise you, as the small river Jäglitz flows through the city.
