It all began when a large, old oak tree fell victim to the storm on Jörg Auffahrt and his family's property in Driefel. The tree fell, but that wasn't to be the end. “The family said it was a shame to turn all the wood into firewood. So they offered us the wood for sale quite cheaply,” says Thorsten Schütt. The well-known wood sculptor from Horsten is always looking for materials for his art.
