The Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul is a listed church building in Aldekerk, a district of Kerken in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Kleve.
The church was first mentioned in 1218 as ecclesia antiqua, at that time it received the right to baptism and burial. At the latest since 1274 it became independent with the appointment of its own pastor and the definition of the parish boundaries. It has been part of the Münster diocese since 1821. The current neo-Gothic brick hall was built in the 19th century. It goes back to a previous church of the 15th century, which was destroyed several times and rebuilt. The west tower is in front. The furnishings were created by well-known neo-Gothic artists. The large-format wall and vault paintings as well as the tendril paintings come from J. Rensing (1875) and in particular the stump student Gerhard Lamers (1909–1914) and adorn almost the entire interior. The choir was decorated particularly lavishly. The windows from 1905 and 1914 were designed by Friedrich Stummel and painted by W. Derrix. The walls and paintings were whitewashed in 1956. During renovation work from 1975 to 1977, the paintings were exposed again. During this time a new organ was installed. The neo-Gothic altars, the main, Mary and Anna altars, were created based on the model of late medieval carved altars.

The parish church in Kerken-Aldekerk was consecrated to the two saints Peter and Paul (Peter and Paul), also known as the "Princes of the Apostles". Their common feast day in the calendar of saints is June 29th.
      * Simon, nicknamed Peter (rock), was a fisherman on the Sea of Genesareth when he – together with his brother Andrew – was called by Jesus Christ to be the "fisher of men". According to Catholic understanding, he is the supreme apostle, and the two millennia-long line of popes – currently Francis – are his successors. On statues and paintings Peter is almost always depicted with two keys in his hand, this attribute refers to the Bible passage in Matthew: “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; what you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (chapter 16, verse 19).
      * Paul was initially an opponent of the Christian movement and was not called to the apostle ministry like the other apostles by Jesus Christ during his lifetime, but was converted later with the famous "Damascus experience". His attribute is the sword with which he was executed. According to the Roman law of the time, such a sentence was a “privilege” (quick death and not associated with a long, agonizing agony like other types of execution) that the citizens of Rome were entitled to.
