Just one driveway away from a country road, it is worth taking a short break here.
Planted trees and a memorial stone with a plaque explain the meaning and history of this deserted place quite precisely.

In addition to the old "Gehrener Straße" up to the Dreiherrenstein, an eastern strand ran over the Long Mountain to the Kahlert.
In 1370 the village of Schönheide was located here. In 1769, after the aftermath of the Seven Years' War, only 7 people lived in the houses. In 1884 the settlement was abandoned.
