    With a water surface of 137 hectares and a maximum depth of almost 40 metres, the Schermützelsee is the largest and most impressive body of water in the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park. The Toteiskesselsee was formed at the end of the last ice age in the hollow of melting glaciers. As a clear water lake, the Schermützelsee has very good water quality and you can swim excellently at some small bathing areas.
