Nine crosses is located near the village of Lesní Hluboké in the Brno-venkov district, on the II / 602 road, near the exit 168 of the D1 motorway. There is a hotel (originally a motorcycle Nine Crosses) and about 2 kilometers in the west direction also a motorway landing.

The site was named after nine crosses, according to a legend erected on a place where a wedding parade massacre occurred in the 16th century. There should be 9 victims on the site of which the crosses were erected. In 2012, archaeologists from Archaia, together with scientists from Masaryk University, explored the site. They did not find any human remains on the site that could support this legend. According to the memories of Vladimír Ryšánek, Mayor of Lesní Hluboký, they were picked up in the 1960s [1] in the revival of rotten crosses. Later, after their replacement, the bones were to be stored under the middle cross, but they were likely to be destroyed due to the frequent excavations of the utility networks.

The original crosses were erected by Benedictine monks from the monastery in Rajhrad. After their destruction, they were replaced by new ones, and every hundred years they were consecrated. The last mention of their ordination dates back to 18 September 1887. The crosses are protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
