The Pilat dune is the highest in Europe. Despite its size, it is fragile. The climb is worth it! The bravest don't take the stairs: the sand will heat up your thighs and calves! The view at its top is breathtaking.

Officially bikes cannot continue on the trail to the dunes, but if you cannot find a trustworthy staff here to watch your bike or at least the bags it might be safer to keep going as far as possible to the dunes, where the soft sand makes it hard for any thieves to stage a quick escape.
