The creation of the Scheunenviertel in Kremmen can be traced back to the electoral decree of 1672. Today there are still 50 of the 70 barns that used to be there. On the outskirts of the city of Kremmen, 30 km north-west of Berlin, is what is probably Germany's largest surviving barn district.
