From the opposite bank you have a great view of the historic town of Saint-Ursanne. A sublime moment when you cross the stone bridge and through the gate into the city.

According to legend, the city was founded by the Irish monk Ursicinus, who lived here as a hermit. St-Ursanne, on the banks of the Doubs, is a place of calm and reflection. In the picturesque town there are many medieval buildings, town houses from the 14th to 16th centuries and impressive churches.

You can reach the hermitage in a grotto of St. Ursicinus over 190 steep steps. In the north of St-Ursanne are the ruins of a castle. The Doubs Bridge from 1728 offers a good view of the medieval city.
