Park Randenbroek in Amersfoort is a remnant of a 17th-century country estate with a 19th-century English landscape style. The park, which is a listed monument, is used intensively by local residents. But there was no integration into the surrounding green areas, and the design and maintenance of the park could no longer cope with the intensive use. The park has been thoroughly renovated and partially restored. The original stylistic features of the English landscape style such as sight lines and vistas, woodland paths and slopes, and clumps of trees and watercourses have been restored. The tree population was rejuvenated in the necessary places. The cultural-historical significance and the recreational value of the park were the most important starting points for the renewal.
