      The Röderturm was built around 1390. In the tower room, visitors have a fantastic view of the city. For a long time, it was an important reporting post for the city. The associated bastion was built in the 16th century to strengthen it and has been expanded and rebuilt many times.

In front of the gate tower there is a fishing yard, two stone bridges that now replace the former drawbridges and two gatekeeper's houses that were copied from those at the castle gate.
