    Iddaburg is a place of strength. Thousands of people seek strength in silence to resolve their own life questions. The Iddaburg pilgrimage church is a popular venue for weddings and baptisms. In addition to Eucharistic celebrations, organ concerts and various devotional services are held. The entire pilgrimage site belongs to the St. Iddaburg Foundation and is ecclesiastically assigned to the Bishop of St. Gallen.

      St. Iddaburg is a place of pilgrimage and tourist destination at 966 meters above sea level.

      According to legend, Idda von Toggenburg lived here at Alttoggenburg Castle in the 12th century. Unjustly accused of adultery by her husband, she was thrown over the castle wall into the depths below. With divine help, she survived the fall and devoted herself to an ascetic life dedicated to God. She first lived in a cave and then at Fischingen Monastery, where her tomb can still be seen today. In 1888, the Lourdes Grotto was established as a further attraction for pilgrims and visitors.       With its unique views of Lake Constance (in clear weather) and the Alpine peaks, Iddaburg is a unique vantage point in Toggenburg. The village is located on the Toggenburg High Trail and several other hiking destinations.
