By the roadside, in the Maichingen area, stands the natural monument "Hoher Baum." If it could speak human language, the "Hoher Baum" could tell you all about the traffic situation of bygone days. When the then-small seedling took root, the "Weiler Weg" near Maichingen was a major connecting road between the Rhineland and southwest Germany, with considerable traffic volumes.
