The Menzlesmühle near Kaisersbach on the Mühlenwanderweg was once powered by 4 water wheels, 3 overshot for the grinding mill, 1 undershot for the sawmill that was still in existence until the first half of the 20th century. Today there is still an overshot water wheel to be seen. Until the 17th century, the Menzlesmühle was called "Cronmühle" after the nearby town of Cronhütte. After a fire in 1721, it was rebuilt in its current form. After extensive renovations, the Menzlesmühle with its largely preserved mill equipment is a gem and one of the rare specimens that were driven by two mill channels at the confluence of two streams.
