Torre de Observação de Rauen

This lookout tower is in close proximity to the Markgrafensteinen. The tower is 45 meters high and offers you a fantastic view of the Scharmutzelsee, the Rauener mountains and even as far as Berlin when visibility is good.

Access is secured by a turnstile and entry costs 1 euro per person. IMPORTANT: The machine only accepts 1 euro pieces and 50 cent pieces.

Steel observation tower with a height of 45 meters. Up to the viewing platform there are 209 steps. From there you can not only see the Scharmützelsee, but in good weather also the Berlin TV tower. The entrance fee is only one euro and is open all year round.

Attention: Entry is secured by a turnstile and costs €1 per person. The machine accepts €0.50 and €1 coins.

The former tower was still important as a trigonometric point. Due to the use of satellites, these towers lost their importance. Today the tower is also used to monitor forest fires and the police use it for digital radio.
