The St. Wenceslas Church is one of the most important buildings on the Saale. The striking church is the landmark of the city council of Naumburg. The late Gothic building from 1426 was given its west portal between 1510 and 1520 and its interior was given a baroque interior in 1724. The church, with its unusual architectural design, has the highest tower in the city: at 72 meters, it even towers over the four towers of the cathedral. The church tower does not belong to the church, but to the city of Naumburg. It was ultimately used for municipal tasks, such as for the watchman to carry out fire inspections to prevent fires.
