The Great St. Bernard Pass is the third highest mountain pass in Switzerland, with an altitude of 2,469 meters (8,100 feet). This pass connects Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland with Aosta in the Aosta Valley region of Italy. It is the lowest pass located on the watershed between the two highest mountains in the Alps, Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa.
