The Klosterbräu is the oldest brewery in Bamberg. It is located in the so-called mill district directly on the Regnitz. In 1851, the brewery buildings were bought by Peter Braun from Kitzingen. Until 2017 she remained in the possession of the Braun family. Since February 1, 2017, the brewery and restaurant of the Bamberg brewery family Wörner, which already operates the brewery Kaiserdom and the inn brewery Kronprinz, both in the district Gaustadt.
The list of offered beers is long. Of course, there is brown beer, but also a very dark "Schwärzla", gold pils and full beer, and also a wheat beer ("brown white") is not missing. In the autumn, of course, Klosterbräu Bock is brewed, at the time of its infusion there is also a large crowd.
