Explanation: Sint Laurense Weihoek is the top area for meadow birds on Walcheren. This unique area is an attraction for a great diversity of birds. Walk or cycle along the area and enjoy all the bird sounds. Because the birds are used to passers-by, they allow themselves to be studied up close. During the breeding season you regularly see chicks of lapwings, redshanks and black-tailed godwits. This oldland area, where clay lies on peat, is originally very low.
