Kahla, located at the foot of Leuchtenburg, is a small town with 1100 years of eventful history. Worth seeing is the old town center with the almost completely preserved city wall, the Saalewehr and the restored Ackerbürgerhäusern.

The town church St Margarethen stands in Kahla in the Saale-Holzland district in Thuringia.
