On Monte San Giorgio you will find yourself in a bivouac where you can stay sheltered, there are drinks and water inside the bivouac, which are not free!
There is a box where you can leave money for what you take.

From the summit of San Giorgio, 1000 meters above sea level in the south of Ticino, you can enjoy a panorama that stretches from the lake to the mountains, giving you unforgettable views of the region. But the San Giorgio can boast mainly that it belongs to the important "World Heritage of UNESCO" because of its fossils, which are exhibited in the Museum of Meride, which was designed by the Ticinese architect Mario Botta. You can reach the summit on foot in about two hours from the pretty village of Meride, while for the descent along the western flank you can choose the most interesting part, the Sentiero geo-paleontologico (Geopalaeontological path).
