From Neuenreuth (north of Thiersheim), the twelve-kilometer alternative route "Brückenradweg Bayern-Böhmen connection" serves as a continuation of the D-Route 5 and EuroVelo 4 to the border crossing to Schirnding. From here, the EuroVelo 4 on Pomezi in the Czech Republic weiter.Ab the connection to the Fichtelnaab bike path at Fichtelberg the bike path through the forest to Tröstau is slightly gravel, then asphalted to the border crossing.
