Lonely, in the middle of the forest and very idyllically situated Romanesque chapel in Keuerstadt. The chapel is dedicated to St. Nicholas. It was built in 1280 and renovated in style in 1971. However, no one lives in Keuerstadt anymore. The place had always had at least a handful of residents over the centuries and there are also buildings in Keuerstadt: the above chapel and a small convalescent home. Today's lonely location in the forest should not hide the fact that this area was largely cleared in the Middle Ages and that it was quite lively there. From the Middle Ages to the end of the 19th century, a long-distance road ran through the town. There were several mills and farms here. In the 19th century there was also an inn. In the new local chronicle of Jagstzell it says that the place has a mysterious effect and: "To this day, Keuerstadt exerts a special fascination on the visitor...".
