The lower of the two Kreealmen is the Kreealm-Kreehütte at 1,483 meters. You can reach this hut in around one and a half hours on the hiking trail or along the forest path. A little in front of the hut there is a small chapel, which encourages you to pause for a moment. (Source: grossarltal.info).

We visited the lower of the two Kreealmen on the way back. At the Kreealm-Bichlhütte (the Kreealm above) there was a very tasty cheese dumpling soup and then dessert: very tasty blackberry cake.
