The photogenic sidekick of the Totengrund offers everything that makes a typical heathland. With its fascinating history and its breathtaking landscape, the Steingrund attracts nature lovers and hikers alike year after year.

Access to the Steingrund is via the charming heath villages of Oberhaverbeck or Niederhaverbeck. Alternatively, you can also start the journey from Behringen or Volkwardingen. The Steingrund is part of the car-free nature reserve and therefore promises a particularly undisturbed nature experience.

The Steingrund shares its ridge with the neighboring Totengrund, which attracts many visitors with its viewing platform. In comparison, the Steingrund leads a more tranquil existence, but this in no way detracts from its uniqueness. The two heathlands can be wonderfully combined, as a narrow hiking trail runs along the hill and offers breathtaking views of the Steingrund.
