If the visitor approaches Kackrow from the direction of Wiesendorf, he will pass the "Hexenkiefer", about which legendary stories can still be reported today. The place was first mentioned in 1446. The historical records particularly show the names of the families residing in Kackrow. The sons of the former village school boy Nevoigt are named as the founders of the diamond works in Reichenbach. The feeling of togetherness among the inhabitants of the place has been strong since ancient times. Well-maintained plots, partially modernized and expanded, but also newly built residential houses fit well into the landscape.
