The first documentary mention of the Parochie Quickborn can be found in the documents from 1385. The church tower may date from around 1250. Bricks in the monastery format enclose a field stone wall. Now closed loopholes and a sword-proof side entrance indicated that in earlier times this church may have served as a refuge for the surrounding population. The church tower carries four bells.
The current nave, including the interior, was created in 1777 through a renovation.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a sacristy was added, a second gallery was removed in 1958 and a barrel vault was built.
The interior of the church with its pulpit altar is solemnly simple. Warm yellow dominates in color, the wooden parts are white and set on the altar side with gold. From the Middle Ages, 4 carved figures on the north wall and a crucifix on the south wall have been preserved. Since 2002, the altar has been adorned with a triptych-shaped parament. The middle section hangs all year round, while the matching side sections in the liturgical colors correspond to the church festivals.

The St.Maria-Magdalena-Kirche in Quickborn is a simple hall building made of masonry under a mansard roof with a pantile covering. It has a square west tower on a field stone base under a mansard tent roof covered with beaver tail with an attached roof turret hung with slate. It was built in 1777 using the remains of an older building.
