The church is in the neoclassical style and was built by the architect Antoine Moreau de Nivelles around 1833, as evidenced by the monograms on the façade and the pilasters of the choir. Further into the exterior details...

"The plan consists of a tall avant-corps forming a massive volume of the same width and higher than the sanctuary and one bay deep, dominated in the center by a bell tower, and a rectangular sanctuary grouping the nave between five-bay aisles and the choir with a wide bay with a flat, blind chevet, beneath a long slate gable with an eastern hip.

The avant-corps on a plastered base, with stone harps at the four corners. An opaque screen façade whose central bay is delimited by brick pilasters with Ionic capitals and molded stone bases. The only opening, in the axis behind a wide staircase, is a portal with a rectangular stone frame with three fascias, under an entablature flanked by two scrolled consoles supporting a strong drip edge. A recessed brick tympanum and a relieving arch. Above.

Above a band bearing a listel and a row of bowline holes encircled by a stone square, a high entablature crowned by a molded cornice, retaining the remains of a pediment applied to the right of the central bay."
