Did you know? King Mindaugas Bridge was built on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the coronation of King Mindaugas. The "pipe" near the Mindaugas bridge is called the "Quay Arch". The unique sculpture reproduces the shape of the Neris embankment. The sculpture cost about 25 thousand euros.

The Gediminas Tower is the only surviving corner tower of the Vilnius Upper Castle complex, Lithuania.The octagonal tower on the 142 m high Gediminas Hill (Pilies kalnas) is now a symbol of Vilnius. It houses a history museum dedicated to the history of the Upper Castle, built by Grand Duke Gediminas in 1323. Despite the rounded arches of its windows, it is a Gothic building in Lithuania. A panoramic view of Vilnius opens up from the tower's observation deck. There is the Gedimino kalno inclined elevator to the Gediminas Tower. The Lithuanian flag was raised here for the first time on New Year's Day 1919 (Wikipedia).
